Welcome to the shareware Area/ZIP Codes Stack 3.1!
Please read the documentation before using this stack.
This stack contains about 43,500 ZIP codes for locations in the United States and its related territories. It also includes country codes, city codes, and time zones for about 500 other countries and international cities as well. By specifying your local time zone (using Greenwich Mean Time) you can find the time in any state, country, city, or area/city code in this stack. You can even specify whether daylight savings time is in effect.
Of course, all of the ZIP codes are listed for places with more than one ZIP code, and each U.S. state and territory - including each Canadian province - includes its area code(s) and postal abbreviation. There are also maps of Canada, the contiguous U.S., and the world - you can "point and click" to an area if you want. This stack also includes a selective find, the option of finding multiple occurrences of text, dialog help, and the option of displaying and/or exporting the matching found text. There is also a button you can link to any stack or application - it's preferable to link with an "address book" of some sort. There is also an automatic compacting option that compacts the stack when you close it.
This message will only appear the first time you open this stack, but you can view it at any time by clicking on the "Introduction" topic in the Help Topics dialog box. You can get to the Help Topics by holding down the option key and clicking on the Help button in the bottom right corner of the stack's screen. By clicking on the topic you want, you can speedily get to the information you want. Clicking "Leave Help" from the Topics dialog will remove the dialog. See "The Help Button And Dialogs" for more information.
In the Help dialog (where you are now), pressing the "Prev" and "Next" buttons will take you to the other topics in the documentation. In most cases, pressing the "Leave Help" button will take you to the Help Topics dialog.
Using The Help Dialog
There are some shortcuts you can use to get to the information you want faster:
• If you have an extended keyboard, pressing the Home or End keys will scroll this field to either the top or bottom. Pressing the Page Up or Page Down keys will scroll the field a page at a time.
• Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll the field one line at a time. Using the arrow keys with the Command key held down will scroll the field by a page at a time.
• You can use the right and left arrow keys in place of the Prev and Next buttons in the dialog.
• Pressing the Enter or Return keys will have the same effect as pressing the "Leave Help" button.
